Weddings

I absolutely LOVE weddings. At one time, I actually thought about becoming a wedding planner. Unfortunately, in Eastern Kentucky, healthcare is more lucrative than the wedding planning business.....and after watching a few episodes of Bridezillas, I am not sure I could handle the job anyway. Right now, I am reading Vision in White by Nora Roberts (The Bride Quartet-Book 1).

The books are about a group of life long friends who start a wedding planning business. I just love this book and can't wait to start on the next three.

I am completely obsessed with the wedding details for Kate Middleton and Prince William. I am dying to see what type of dress she chooses.

My favorite part of Sundays is watching My Fair Wedding with David Tutera. I love this show! He is so amazingly creative.....I cry every time he reveals the reception site to the couple. He really gives each bride a fairytale day. I also love watching Say Yes to the Dress. I am actually watching it right now while I am snowed in...AGAIN! The dress is always what I look forward to seeing most at weddings. I also love seeing beautiful, fresh flowers. While bundled up on the couch today, I have been looking at gorgeous dresses at http://www.theknot.com/ . I have posted a few of my favorite pics below...all photos can be found at http://www.theknot.com/.

I love the lace detail in both of the gowns. The dresses are timeless.

I could go on for days about the beauty of Jim Hjelm gowns. They are so classy and
sophisticated, yet simple and elegant.

St. Pucchi
I love the drama of St. Pucchi gowns. A bride will never go unnoticed while wearing St. Pucchi.

Stephen Yearick
The ultimate fairytale gown!

I have also posted some pics of my favorite flower combinations. Words cannot express how much I love fresh flowers. There is nothing more beautiful and romantic than a bride surrounded by fresh blooms. These pictures can all be found at http://www.theknot.com/.

I have just loved looking at new wedding trends. It makes me miss my own wedding day....one of the happiest days of my life.

  4. I have some friends in England and they are crazy over the pending royal nuptials. I am a bit excited, too. I remember watching Charles and Diana and being in awe at the pagentry. I was really young...LOL, so not sure you were around to see it.

Weddings are a hobby of mine. I think I would crash them just to take a few pics and then run home. My hubs has agreed to marry me every 5 years so that I can wear a pretty dress and we can share that happy day over and over again. (just the 2 of us...and maybe the kids.)

One of the shows I love is Platinum Weddings, but I mean, really...who would spend that kind of money knowing what else could be done with it. Oh well...to each his own.

I have never read a Nora Roberts book. I tend to stay to the classics, but have lately opted for some modern stuff. I will look this series up.

    Have a great day.
