Lazy Day

I am soooo enjoying a relaxing day at home today. To say it nicely, it has been the week from HELL!.....and... I should probably be ashamed because it is almost 4 pm and I still have my pajamas on. Guess what?....I AM NOT ASHAMED!...it  feels wonderful!

I do plan to pry myself from the couch soon in effort to clean my body and go to Mom and Dad's so I can visit the family and see my gorgeous niece, Carsyn! I miss her so much...it has been 2 weeks since I've seen her!

I was so excited this morning when I saw my SIL's blog post which featured a video of Carsyn. Please, visit her blog here so you can meet my niece. I know you will love her! I just love to see her laugh.....

Random Thoughts

It's T-shirt time! I get so excited every Thursday evening, just waiting for the next Jersey Shore. I feel this overwhelming urge to start fist pumping. Hopefully, Sammi will decide to move out tonight...just can't take anymore whining.

I am also pleasantly surprised with the new season of American Idol. I didn't think I could ever enjoy the show without Simon Cowell, but I really love Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez. They are so nice and supportive of all the contestants. I think it will actually be one of the best seasons.

Yesterday, we received more SNOW! I am getting so tired of winter, but I have to admit...yesterday's snow was just beautiful........

Pain in the A**

I don't know if you have ever had the unfortunate pleasure to experience a broken coccyx (tail bone), but let me just tell you....it is HELL! I first broke my tail bone in high school, then again about 6 months ago. I did not go for an x-ray at the time of re-injury, but due to 6 months + of unbearable pain, I finally decided to have the x-ray completed today while at work. The whole experience was a disaster from beginning to end (no pun intended). When I went in for the x-ray, the nice tech told me I would have to pull my pants down to my knees. Of course, I was wearing....well lets just say not exactly appropriate underwear for the situation. She did lay towels down on the table, then I covered with another, but I just kept thinking about how many bodies had been on the table before me. I felt like wiping myself down with a Clorox wipe. After the x-ray, I returned my pants to the appropriate position only to notice that the white towels had completely covered my black dress pants with white lint. I had to walk in front of a lobby full of people with all this sh** all over my clothes. Everyone looked at me like I was a fool. Thank goodness we have a community lint roller in our office so I didn't have to finish my work day looking like a NUT. Of course, my coccyx is completely broken, leaving me to wonder if it will ever heal. Really, nothing can be done...and I really don't want to sit on a donut cushion in public...so I guess I will just continue to bitch and complain about the pain in my a** for another 6 months.

Grateful for Monday

Today, I am grateful for a great weekend and an enduring friendship. We went out Saturday night to celebrate my friend Cydni's birthday and we had a wonderful time. It was so nice to get out of the house and just relax with friends. Today is actually Cydni's birthday.......so Happy Birthday Cydni! I hope you have had a great day. I have known her for over 30 years...can that even be possible? It seems as though I can't remember a time in my life when I didn't know her and I am extremely grateful to have a friendship that has endured for so many years.
